Job description

Founded in 2011, Fasanara is a global asset manager and technology platform.

We manage c. USD 5 billion AUM (as of December 31, 2024) in Fintech strategies on behalf of pension funds and insurance companies in Europe and North America.

With c.110 employees globally, we are a pioneer investor in Fintech Lending, enabling Real Economy Impact.

Fasanara manages the largest and longest standing Fintech Lending fund in Europe and invests in early-stage Fintech companies via its venture capital vehicles, using its central role in the Fintech ecosystem to identify and back revolutionary new businesses.

Our Culture

We are strong believers in meritocracy, and we seek to reward people based on impact and excellence. There is no bureaucracy, typical of large organisations. The environment is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and trust based. We set ambitious goals, work extremely hard, stress the importance of teamwork, and adhere to the highest level of excellence in everything we do. We are only as good as our team. Thus, we are building the firm around exceptional talent.

The role

As an Investment Operations Associate, you’ll play a key role in supporting the operational backbone of Fasanara’s growing credit and venture capital platform — with an emphasis on the structured credit and CLO business.

Your day-to-day will combine classic fund ops responsibilities (NAV processes, payments, reconciliations, lender data) with middle office functions specific to structured credit, such as trustee report reconciliation, loan closing oversight, waterfall tracking, and performance test support.

You’ll work directly with fintech originators, loan servicers, trustees, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and robust operational controls. This is a hands‑on role with high expectations — perfect for someone eager to take ownership and grow in the world of alternative credit, securitisation, and fintech lending.

Responsibilities
  • Support monthly NAV and shadow NAV production processes by preparing and reviewing data, coordinating deliverables, and resolving inconsistencies.
  • Execute and monitor payments, settlements, and reconciliations across investment structures.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new borrowers, deals, and legal structures, ensuring correct operational setup and reporting lines.
  • Maintain internal trackers and operational reports, and contribute to the automation of recurring workflows using Excel and VBA.
  • Help document key workflows and drive operational improvements across teams.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of trustee reports, comparing external data with internal books and escalating discrepancies.
  • Oversee and track loan closing processes, working with outsourced providers to ensure trades settle according to LMA/LSTA standards.
  • Monitor cash activity and help prepare inputs for quarterly waterfall distributions.
  • Maintain and validate data across internal portfolio systems, ensuring accuracy in loan terms, pricing, and reference data.
  • Provide accurate data support for investor reporting and compliance tests such as OC/IC ratio monitoring, identifying any breaches or anomalies.
  • Liaise with trustees, agents, and internal fron office individuals to resolve day‑to‑day operational issues.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on, highly motivated approach; comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in middle office, fund administration or investment operations.
  • Background in structured credit, syndicated loans or securitisation; CLO exposure strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of loan market mechanics, including LMA/LSTA documentation and trade settlement workflows.
  • Proficient with loan portfolio management systems (e.g. WSOWeb).
  • Advanced Excel skills (ideally including VBA) and a strong interest in process automation.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organised and proactive in identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.
  • Strong analytical and accounting fundamentals; understands how trades flow through financial statements, waterfalls and compliance tests.
  • Professional presence with third parties (servicers, trustees, agents); comfortable managing multiple workflows and keeping stakeholders updated.
  • Entrepreneurial, “can‑do” mindset; takes initiative, adapts quickly and enjoys building and improving processes in a high‑autonomy environment.
Benefits
  • Competitive bonus scheme.
  • Bupa health & dental, Cycle to Work scheme, enhanced pension, and generous annual leave.
  • Enhanced parental leave, special leave allowances, and charity giving options.
  • Regular team events, legendary summer & Christmas parties, knowledge sharing sessions, and quarterly town halls.
  • Team lunches, dinners, Friday drinks, team sport activities.
