Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a full-time and permanent Credit Controller on behalf of a business that is based in the Preston area. This company has a turnover of circa 13 million pounds, and has been operating for over 60 years. The successful candidate must have a real passion for credit control as they will have full responsibility for the Sales Ledger. Please note, this job is office based.

Your New Role as the Credit Controller

• Chasing overdue accounts and any aged debt
• Complex query resolution to ensure prompt payment of invoices
• Allocation of payments to customer accounts
• Raising sales invoices and credit notes where necessary
• Producing ad hoc reports for managers regarding customer accounts
• Credit checking and setting up new customer accounts
• Processing all customer invoices
• Working to tight deadlines
• Building rapport with customers to ensure prompt payment
• Sage and Excel will be used daily

Experience and Skills Required to Apply

• A minimum of 2 years of credit control experience (essential)
• The successful candidate will be a strong and confident communicator, have excellent attention to detail, be assertive when necessary but in a professional manner (essential)
