Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Temporary Credit Controller to support our finance team ahead of year-end. You will investigate aged and historic debt, chase overdue balances and work to improve cash collection. You’ll get under the debtors’ ledger to understand blockers and push for progress with limited hand-holding.

Join an existing finance team as extra support, handling an aged ledger and providing attention to disputes and reconciliations until Christmas.

Qualifications

• Requires prior credit control experience.
• Ability to work with aged debt reports and understand payment bottlenecks.
• Experience resolving queries and chasing overdue balances.

If you're the kind of Credit Controller who enjoys reducing aged debt, resolving queries and seeing the cash come in, this could be a rewarding temporary assignment.

We're recruiting a Temporary Credit Controller to support a growing business in the run-up to year-end.

Following a number of acquisitions, there's some historic debt that needs attention. Rather than simply sending standard reminders, you'll have the opportunity to get under the skin of the aged debtor report, understand what's holding up payment and improve the overall debtor position.

You’ll be:

• Investigating aged and historic debt
• Chasing overdue balances and improving cash collection
• Getting to the bottom of disputed invoices and outstanding queries
• Reconciling accounts and resolving more complicated balancesHelping get the debtor ledger into better shape for year-end

If you're between roles, or simply looking for something temporary to take you through until Christmas, this could be an ideal opportunity to put your Credit Control experience to good use.

You’ll need previous credit control experience and the confidence to pick up an aged ledger, understand what's sitting behind the numbers and start making progress without lots of hand-holding.

You’ll be joining an existing finance team as an extra pair of experienced hands, so there’ll be support around you while still giving you plenty to get your teeth into.
