Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking two Creche Assistants to join the Cardiff Parenting and Play Creche Team, delivering high-quality crèche provision for families attending Parenting Programmes across Cardiff.

The role supports children aged 0–4 (up to 8 in some settings), requires a CCPLD Level 2 or equivalent, and entails travel across the city with some term-time hours.

Part-time: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, salary based on full-time rate; applications encouraged in English or Welsh.

Qualifications

• Essential: CCPLD Level 2 in Children’s Care, Play, Learning & Development.
• Ability to travel across Cardiff city to various settings.
• Good understanding of developmental needs of children under 8 and ability to communicate with families.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality crèche provision for children of parents attending programmes.
• Provide engaging, child-led play opportunities for 0–4 year olds (up to age 8 in some settings).
