Job Summary

We are looking for a Creative Technologist to join our London team to bootstrap our creative interactive digital development (3D/AR/VR/AI). This is an exciting opportunity that will challenge your frontend skills with a lot of opportunities for leadership & project ownership across our movie / music industry clients who include Universal, Disney, Twitch, Netflix, Sony Pictures and many more. Projects range from immersive AR experiences through to high-concept websites and cutting-edge interactive activations.

What You’ll Do

• Interactive, Immersive Web Development: You will be leading creative website builds, representing our technical excellence in front of the Best-Known in the Movie Industry
• Technical Discovery & Ideation: You will collaborate closely with our Creative Team on new concepts, proposing the best technical solutions or executions for each idea
• Independent Ownership: Leadership & ownership of the complete development lifecycle of your projects from development / QA to project activation
• R&D: Drive R&D (Research & Development) with the Labs team to bring the latest technologies and innovation to Powster Creative Activations

• Team Mentorship & Knowledge-Sharing: You will mentor and coach engineers across the team to share your expertise

You should be someone who loves working with the team and helps to bring every individual to excellence. You love challenges of all types and are keen on keeping up to date with modern coding practices.

• Proven creative development experience: You have a minimum of 4+ years as a Software Engineer working within WebGL / AR development
• Portfolio: A creative portfolio demonstrating your range of experience
• Technical Stack: In-depth knowledge & commercial experience with ThreeJS/WebAR/WebGL/8th Wall or similar webAR engine. You are comfortable with the JavaScript environment (Node.js / React)
• AI experience: Knowledge or experience working with Machine Learning models / libraries (Tensorflow, Stable Diffusion, OpenAI, etc) for AI-driven activations
• Fullstack: You can easily navigate between Backend and Frontend architectures
• Creative Flair: You have a strong eye for design with the talent for translating beautiful static designs into interactive experiences
• Communication: You take pride in your communication skills and are skilled at explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Technology Focus: You live with technology. You continuously work on your skills and make the best of your talents building things just for your own benefit.

Nice-to-Haves

• 3D Experience: Exposure to Unreal, Blender or other 3D software (bonus)
• DevOps: Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (preferably AWS)
