An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Creative Sector Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join a highly regarded and rapidly expanding Creative Sector Tax team. Working closely with Media, General Practice, and Audit specialists, you will support an exceptional portfolio of clients across the creative industries—from UK independents to global multinationals.

About the Role

You will provide both compliance and advisory services to clients across multiple creative sectors, including:

  • Film and TV production companies (including major streaming platforms)
  • Theatres (traditional and immersive)
  • Video game developers
  • Orchestras
  • Museums and galleries

The team is experiencing significant growth, particularly following a recent integration that has broadened the client base and created unrivalled opportunities for high-quality creative sector work. With strong relationships across the industry and close engagement with the HMRC Creative Industries policy team, the work often places the team at the forefront of evolving HMRC practices—offering clients invaluable insights when planning new productions and ventures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver creative sector tax compliance work and creative industry tax relief claims.
  • Conduct technical research to support advisory work.
  • Advise clients on creative sector tax reliefs and how best to structure productions to maximise available incentives.
  • Provide broader tax advisory support, including employee incentivisation, tax‑advantaged capital raising, international tax matters, and restructuring.
  • Coach and support junior team members, reviewing their work and contributing to their development.
  • Assist with business development activities, including insights, thought leadership and proposal drafting.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Professionally qualified (CTA, ACA or equivalent) - or studying towards.
  • Experienced in creative sector tax, with recent experience in film/TV tax relief claims or a passion for the sector.
  • Collaborative, with a passion for knowledge sharing and team development.
  • Strong in interpersonal skills and able to build rapport with dynamic, fast‑moving creative industry clients.
  • Technically confident, commercially minded and effective in managing complex projects.
