Community arts charity Impact Arts is looking for a Creative Lead to join our team as part of our Young Parents Pilot project!

Pay & Benefits
  • Prep: 4hrs at £15.56 per hour – Total: £62.24
  • Delivery: 12 sessions – 4hrs per session at £26.60 per hour (3hrs delivery plus 30 mins set up and clear up) – Total: £1,276.80
  • Combined Total: £1,339.04

Location: Workshops will take place in Stranraer, Dumfries, Annan and Kelloholm. An agreed contribution to travel can be made of maximum £20 per day.

Reporting to: Programme Manager

Duration of contract: It is expected that all workshops will take place in February & March. Exact dates will be shared once confirmed.

Working hours: Specific workshop times are still to be confirmed but they will take place during standard working hours, between 9am – 5pm.

Application deadline: 9am on Monday 5th January 2026

Interview dates: Expected to be during week commencing 12th January 2026

Expected start date: February 2026

Objectives

Sessions will be therapeutic, fun, and sociable, using creative activities such as vision boards, positive affirmations, lino printing, planters, needle felting, clay crafts, and mono printing. Parents will focus on personal growth while Youth Workers provide activities for children nearby.

Main Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering an engaging creative programme which will allow participants toDevelop confidence and skills aligned to key employment sectors
  • Work closely with DG Work’s Employability Support team
  • 1-2-1 support for participants and creation of individual personal development plans
  • Ensuring all paperwork is complete, compliant and in line with funder guidelines
  • Regular reporting to Programme Manager
  • Responsible for delivering project outcomes and targets
  • Day to day admin – registers/participant evaluation/case studies
  • Documenting process and work
  • Delivering a quality artistic process and content
  • Ownership of materials and equipment ordering and asset tracking
  • Maintaining participant interest and attendance via exciting and innovative work
  • Sharing the project story via internal and external communications
  • Source materials and work to budget

The chosen candidate will deliver a series of 12 creative workshops (three sessions per group) for up to 60 young parents across four localities in Feb–Mar 2026, in partnership with local Youth Work and Employability teams.
