JOB DETAILS

JOB BAND: C
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full-time
DEPARTMENT: BBC Studios Communication - EMEA
LOCATION: Television Centre - London
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £40,000 plus £5,441 London Weighting depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

This role is advertised as part of our BBC Extend programme for disabled people. Creatives in EMEA develop social and digital content, trails, and campaigns supporting BBC Studios’ branded services. They craft world‑class creative across platforms – social, print, digital out‑of‑home, affiliate, and sales – tailored to international audiences.
The ideal candidate is ambitious, passionate about social media, design, and production, taking ownership while collaborating effectively. They pitch ideas persuasively to stakeholders and are supported by senior creatives. Creativity should shine through every stage – from insights and brainstorms to execution and feedback.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
  • Monitor social trends and platform innovations, integrating them into creative output and ensuring cultural relevance across regions.
  • Produce compelling digital and social assets (GIFs, banners, pre‑rolls, memes, OOH) and develop insight‑driven campaigns from briefs.
  • Pitch ideas persuasively using scripts, references, treatments, and storyboards; direct and produce small‑scale shoots with production support.
  • Write brand‑aligned copy and concepts while maintaining high creative and production standards, delivering on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring junior creatives.
  • Lead and inspire creative teams, driving projects forward with clear direction, solution‑focused refinement, and editorial accuracy.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • Initiative, flexibility, and independence in managing creative projects.
  • Strong copywriting, ideation, and editing skills, with clear communication and pitching ability.
  • Proficiency in Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects, plus familiarity with production tools and processes.
  • Ability to interpret marketing strategies and deliver creative work to brief.
  • Awareness of social, digital, and broadcast trends, with proven creative excellence in these areas.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and stakeholder communication skills, with resilience under pressure.
  • Creative judgement and attention to detail, ensuring high standards across all outputs.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
  • Drive to create award‑winning work and passion for art and media.
  • Light design skills to complement core creative capabilities.
  • Experience working with talent and influencers, building cultural awareness across regions.
  • Budget and timeline management expertise.
  • Health and safety knowledge relevant to production environments.
  • Tact, sensitivity, and ability to mentor junior creatives to elevate team output.
