Job summary

Dorset Scrapstore in Poole is seeking a Store Assistant to join our small team of staff and volunteers. The role focuses on providing friendly customer service, till operations, and helping with donation sorting and display in the shop.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail environments.
• Interest in arts, crafts, upcycling and environmental initiatives.
• Willingness to work weekends and varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and helpful customer service in-store.
• Operate the till and handle cash accurately.
• Assist with sorting, pricing and presenting donations.
• Support volunteers and staff in daily store operations.
• Open/close the shop and cash up.
• Assist with workshops and events as needed.
