Job description
Overview

You will be accountable for the annual maintenance of plant and switchgear up to 66kV within the Gloucestershire region. In addition you will be responsible for the programming and monitoring of immediate work colleagues and switching up to 66 kV along with other tasks appropriate to the Craftsperson Role.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Grade A
  • C/4-9 GCSE in English and Maths or Functional Skills Level qualification in both subjects.
  • Ideally having fitting experience. Consideration will be given to applicants who do not possess all the skills required to undertake the role at present but have the confidence and ability to reach the necessary standards with appropriate training.
  • If not already attained, the successful candidate will be required to study for the relevant City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Electrical Engineering and complete TAR – which includes daily diary page completion and a number of tasks and reports as required.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as part of a small team, making on the spot decisions as required and working to tight deadlines.
  • A flexible attitude is essential, as you will be required to undertake other duties to assist the team in meeting its objectives.
  • Mobile throughout the area as you may be required to undertake standby duties.
