Salary: £25,250 - £40,000 (dependent on experience) plus generous workplace allowances

AWE Is undergoing a multi £b infrastructure programme which presents unique opportunities for
Craft professionals to carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on state-of-the-
art plant, processes and facilities. You can expect to work on a range of systems including, but not limited to:

  • HVAC
  • Pumps
  • Rotating machinery
  • Steam
  • Condensate systems

Due to AWE's critical role, further technical details of our work are classified. But rest assured, you will be doing remarkably interesting things as part of our expert craft team!

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment
  • Troubleshooting and fault rectification mechanical issues
  • Installing and upgrading mechanical systems and equipment
  • Testing and inspecting mechanical systems and equipment
  • Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
  • Following all safety procedures and regulations

Prior experience in nuclear defence is not necessary, however candidates would benefit from knowledge/experience of ANY of the following:

  • Planned, predictive and reactive maintenance on commercial systems
  • Adhering to a strong safety culture and working to industry standards
  • Previous experience in a building, plant, or manufacturing environment

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in relevant discipline or NVQ/Diploma Level 2 plus industrial experience
  • A recognised relevant qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC or BTEC Level 3

You must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas, if applicable. More information is on our website.
