Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a confident Secondary Cover Teacher to work across secondary schools in Telford and surrounding areas. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, supporting students to stay engaged and continue their learning.

Ideal candidates will hold QTS or be an Early Career Teacher, have experience in UK secondary schools, and possess strong classroom and behaviour management, plus excellent communication and a flexible, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a confident and adaptable Secondary Cover Teacher to work across secondary schools in Telford and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for flexible work, whether you're interested in daily cover, short-term placements or longer-term opportunities. You'll deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, helping students stay engaged and continue their learning.

You'll work in supportive secondary schools where positive relationships, high expectations and effective behaviour management are key to creating a productive learning environment.

The RoleAs a Secondary Cover Teacher, you'll cover lessons during teacher absences, follow the work provided and ensure students remain focused and on task. You'll confidently manage different year groups and follow each school's behaviour policies.
