Job summary

Principal Education is looking for confident Cover Teachers to work across secondary schools in Hackney. This is a flexible daily supply role ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals seeking part-time work to gain classroom experience.

Applicants with backgrounds in sports coaching, youth work, tutoring or work with young people are encouraged to apply. A DBS update service or willingness to apply is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.
• Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and keep students engaged in their learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students with their work and follow school policies.
• Report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff members.

Pay Rate: £100-£160 per day - dependent on experience
