Cover Supervisor - Tenterden (near Ashford)

Simply Education is looking to recruit reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools in Tenterden, just outside Ashford. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable experience in education.

You'll be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of a teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm, positive learning environment.
• Support students with their work where appropriate.
• Report any concerns or feedback to teaching staff.
• Adapt to different classes and subjects throughout the school day.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (e.g. tutoring, coaching, youth work, classroom support).
• A confident and adaptable approach to managing a classroom.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to transport are highly desirable, as public transport links in Tenterden are limited.
