Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a term-time Cover Supervisor to join our school team. The role involves covering lessons for short-term teacher absences across both sites, with duties in administration and student support.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills, strong organisational ability and the initiative to build positive relationships with students. Training and safeguarding knowledge will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience providing administrative support.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and SIMS advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute the cover sheet before registration each day, liaising with the Senior Assistant Headteacher and where necessary contacting supply teachers and external agencies.
• Provide cover for classes in the absence of the regular teacher, supporting departments to aid student development, progress and attainment.
• Maintain order and keep students focused on tasks to ensure a calm learning environment.
• Distribute learning resources provided by teachers and manage room changes as needed, including during exams.
• Support safeguarding, attendance, and welfare under school policies; engage in mentoring and revision clubs as required.
• Carry out general administrative duties and reception tasks, including logging communications and maintaining records.
