About the Role: We are looking for a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and dynamic secondary school in E16. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or experienced support staff member looking to gain valuable classroom experience and make a positive impact on students' learning.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into classes across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining a focused and supportive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
Responsibilities
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task.
- Deliver pre-set work and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Support students with their learning and engagement.
- Report back to subject teachers on student progress and behaviour.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (school or tutoring experience desirable).
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
- Degree-level qualification (desirable) or relevant school experience.
