What skills and experience we’re looking for

Cover Supervisor (Sports and PE)

NJC SCP 9£14.13 per hour (plus holiday pay). Casual role – as and when required.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated PE Cover Supervisor to join our collaborative and supportive PE team. The ideal candidate will deliver extra‑curricular sessions, including Games afternoons and accompany fixtures, under the guidance of the Head of PE. Successful candidates will implement programmed sessions with students in the activity spaces of the PE department and work constructively as part of the PE team, understanding roles and responsibilities and their position within these.

Responsibilities

• Deliver extra‑curricular sessions, including Games afternoons and fixture accompaniment.
• Implement programmed sessions in the PE department activity spaces.
• Work constructively within the PE team under the Head of PE.
• Use initiative and remain calm under pressure.
• Support learning and communicate appropriately with students and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sports coaching role or high club level participation.
• Optional experience within a school context.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Familiarity with ICT.
• Ability to deal with colleagues and students in an appropriate manner.
