A local educational institution in Broadstairs seeks a full-time Teaching & Supervisory role for term-time only. The ideal candidate will support curriculum delivery, supervise students, and contribute to staff development in a dynamic learning environment. Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) is a multi‑academy Trust established in 2017. It comprises three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School (11‑18, mixed selective, rated Good by Ofsted in February 2020 and November 2024), The Charles Dickens School (11‑16, mixed non‑selective, rated Good by Ofsted in March 2023), and Barton Manor Free School (11‑18, mixed non‑selective, rated Good by Ofsted in May 2025).
The Charles Dickens School is a non‑selective, oversubscribed 11‑16 school in Broadstairs, Kent. In 2022 it was rated the most improved school in Kent (out of 101 secondary schools) and one of the most improved schools in the country. In 2023, 2024 and 2025 its results have continued to strengthen. The school has a strong reputation for high expectations, a broad curriculum and specialist facilities across sport, hospitality, engineering, dance, drama, music and art. It provides Specialist Resource Provision for visually‑impaired children and is fully equipped with state‑of‑the‑art whiteboards.
This is a full‑time teaching and supervisory post of Teaching & Supervisory with a term‑time only role. Working hours are 08:00–16:00 Monday‑Thursday and 08:00–15:30 Friday, with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break. The post offers a staff development day each term.
BCAT Range 6 – £26,393 – £27,713 (pro‑rata £22,634 – £23,766).
