TeacherActive are proud to be working with several Secondary schools across Carlisle. We are seeking quality Cover Supervisors to manage a classroom when a teacher is unexpectedly absent ensuring that students remain on task and their learning continues.

The role of Cover Supervisor doesn't include planning or preparation and no subject knowledge is necessary. However, strong communication and classroom management are vital. TeacherActive provide free in-house CPD training for the position with training tips and tricks to support your professional development.

The successful Cover Supervisor will:

  • Be confident in their ability to manage a class of students within the age range of 11 to 16
  • Have ability to cover a variety of different subjects and be adaptable
  • Be able to manage behaviour in the classroom to ensure students remain engaged
  • Be flexible to work throughout the school within different departments and with different age ranges daily
