A local education authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cover Supervisor to manage classes during teacher absences. The position involves supervising pupils in Year 5 to Year 8 across various subjects. We are seeking to employ a Cover Supervisor, to cover classes in the event of unexpected and short term absence of teachers. The post holder will work with children in Year 5 through to Year 8, covering curriculum lessons across all subjects for Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3. You may also be required to join other support and teaching staff in the supervision of pupils at break and/or lunchtimes as a valued member of the school community.
Cover class lessons across all subjects for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. Supervise pupils at break and lunchtime, working closely with other staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
Recent teaching or teacher assistant experience within a mainstream school would be beneficial. The role could be a great opportunity for an ECT not yet in post to continue to support their development.
