Cover Supervisors Needed in Prescot!

We are urgently hiring highly effective and professional Cover Supervisors to manage classes across supportive secondary schools in the Prescot area. This is a chance to earn a great daily rate while gaining invaluable experience!

Daily Pay Rate: £90 to £95 per day

Location: Prescot- L34

As a Cover Supervisor, you are the temporary leader who guarantees structure and productivity during teacher absence. You will focus your energy entirely on maintaining student control and engagement. You will manage groups of secondary students completing assigned work across various subjects, ensuring school rules are upheld consistently.

Main Duties:
  • Explain and clarify the pre-prepared tasks and instructions left by the absent teacher.
  • Actively supervise students to keep them focused on the task and support independent learning.
  • Manage classroom dynamics
  • Ensure student safety and respond to immediate welfare needs, following safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintain accurate registers and note any issues or incidents for the returning teacher.
  • Collect completed work and materials at the end of the lesson and secure the classroom.
Skills You Will Need:
  • Excellent verbal skills for giving directions and maintaining control.
  • Comfort covering diverse subjects and quickly grasping new instructions.
  • Remain calm when managing challenging behaviour.
  • Able to spot and prevent issues before they start.
  • Speak confidently to direct the whole class.
