Cover Supervisor with SEN Experience | B14, Birmingham | Aspire People

Location: B14, Birmingham
Position: Cover Supervisor (with SEN experience)
Contract: Full-time or Part-time
Start Date: Immediate or negotiable
Salary: £85-£110 per day (depending on experience)

Aspire People is currently recruiting for a confident and committed Cover Supervisor with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is for a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the B14 area of Birmingham.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Your ability to adapt and support students with a range of SEN needs is key to succeeding in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
  • Delivering lesson plans and managing classroom behaviour
  • Supporting students with SEN to access the curriculum
  • Working closely with teaching assistants and SENCOs
  • Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a school-based support role
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice
  • Confidence managing classroom behaviour and engaging learners
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges
