Daily Rate: £90 - £130 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours: 8:00am - 3:30pm

Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in Salisbury to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor for a September 2025 start. This is a long-term position with the strong possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about education and committed to supporting student learning. Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with relevant experience in youth or educational settings, this role offers a rewarding path forward.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. Working with students aged 11 to 16 across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons in a variety of subjects. Your primary focus will be to ensure that students remain engaged, behave appropriately, and continue their learning in a structured environment.
Responsibilities include:
Supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
Delivering lesson content prepared by the subject teacher across a range of subjects, including core areas like Maths, English, and Science, as well as Humanities and other subjects.
Managing classroom behaviour and applying school policies to ensure a calm and productive learning environment.
Supporting students with their learning when appropriate and answering questions related to the lesson content.
Reporting back to teaching staff regarding student engagement, behaviour, and any notable incidents.
