Job summary

A leading education staffing agency in the UK seeks cover supervisors and qualified teachers to provide absence cover in secondary schools across Middlesbrough. The positions are flexible, both full-time and part-time, offering the chance to manage classrooms and engage with students. Candidates must have a strong classroom presence and be DBS registered. Overview

Veritas Education are working in partnership with secondary schools across Middlesbrough, who require confident and reliable staff to provide absence cover on both a short-term and long-term basis.

Roles Available

• Cover Supervisors - ideal for graduates, support staff, or those with experience working with young people
• Qualified Teachers - open to general cover across various subject areas

Role Details

• Full-time and part-time roles available
• Temporary positions - flexible durations depending on school needs
• General cover - no planning or marking required
• You will be expected to manage a classroom of up to 30 students and deliver pre-set work confidently

Candidate Requirements

• Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students across KS3 and KS4
• A DBS registered on the Update Service is essential
• Previous classroom experience is desirable, but we are also open to applicants with relevant experience working with large groups of children or young people - for example, in sports coaching, youth work, or mentoring roles
