A leading education provider seeks Cover Supervisors to lead classrooms when regular teachers are absent in County Durham. This flexible role is ideal for those with a degree in a relevant subject or experience working with young people. Supervisors will support student engagement and maintain classroom order, making a positive impact in diverse secondary schools.
Location: Across schools in County Durham
Days: 3 to 5 days per week – you choose!
Start: September 2025
Pay: Weekly PAYE | £100-£120 per day- Rate based on experience

We’re on the lookout for Cover Supervisors ready to make a difference in secondary schools across County Durham. You’ll be the person who steps up when the regular teacher’s away, keeping students engaged, on task, and learning.
Supervising pre-set lessons across a range of subjects
Managing classroom behaviour and keeping things on track
Answering questions, giving guidance, and encouraging participation
Being a calm, confident presence pupils can rely on
A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., English, Science, Sport)
OR experience working with children or young people in the UK
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
