Connex Education is seeking organised and responsible cover supervisors to provide general cover, classroom supervision and student support in secondary schools across the Newcastle Area.
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8am-3:30pm during school term times.
Well-established mainstream secondary schools within the Tyne and Wear area are currently looking for enthusiastic and flexible cover supervisors to supervise classes and provide learning support during short-term staff absences.
The right candidate will be someone who shares the same passion and values for education.
The right candidate will be able to confidently step into lessons and continue teaching the existing schemes of work.
As a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a productive and orderly learning environment for students ages 11-16 when their regular teacher is unavailable. This includes supervising whole classes across various subjects when teachers are absent and following lesson plans left by teachers to facilitate activities and assist students. It also important to support students in completing tasks and promoting positive behaviour in the classroom.
