The Role

We are seeking a confident, flexible, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our secondary school team in Newcastle from January 2026. This role involves supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and follow the work set.

Main Duties
  • Deliver pre-set work to classes in the absence of the teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure a calm, safe, and focused learning environment
  • Provide feedback to staff on student progress or issues
  • Support students with tasks where needed
About You
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Confident working with young people aged 11–16
  • Flexible and adaptable across subjects and year groups
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a school or youth setting is an advantage
