Monarch Education is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Melksham, Wiltshire.

We are looking for a motivated individual to cover lessons across various subjects, ensuring learning continues smoothly in the absence of teachers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisation skills, resilience, and a positive attitude.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, and capable of managing classrooms effectively, maintaining high standards of behaviour, and supporting students' learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage classes during pre-planned or emergency cover lessons across a range of subjects
  • Ensure students stay on task and follow behaviour expectations
  • Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
  • Support students' engagement and behaviour management
  • Follow lesson plans provided by teachers where applicable
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff
Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident classroom management abilities
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team-

This role offers flexible hours and can be part-time or full-time, depending on your availability. Prior experience in a school setting is advantageous but not required.
