We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisors to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is a Grade 5 permanent role, working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The pro‑rata salary is £24,998 and full‑time equivalent is £29,064.

Main purpose of the job:

  • As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning for our students by delivering pre‑planned lessons during the short‑term absence of teaching staff.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a classroom environment and contribute to the wider life of our school.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging, pre‑set lessons to whole classes
  • Managing classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
  • Assessing student progress during cover lessons and updating records as required
  • Supporting students across a range of subjects and activities
  • Supporting curriculum areas and pastoral teams when not covering lesson
  • Providing additional support to curriculum and pastoral teams
