Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Salary: GBP90 - GBP120 per day

The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain school-based experience before pursuing teacher training.

As a cover supervisor, you will:

• Deliver high-quality pre-planned lessons to pupils aged 11 to 16.
• Manage and lead classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring pupils' safety and engagement in learning activities.
• Encourage pupil interaction and participation during lessons.
• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive environment.
• Provide detailed feedback to teachers regarding pupils' achievement, progress, and issues.
• Promote good behaviour, handle conflicts promptly, and encourage responsibility.
• Follow policies on child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting concerns appropriately.

To be successful, you must:

• Have recent experience as a cover supervisor or teaching assistant in a secondary school.
• Have the right to work in the UK.

• Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
