Robert Barclay Academy is seeking a committed, enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support day-to-day learning and help students reach their full potential. This is a permanent, term-time role.

This permanent, term-time role (32.5–35 hours per week) provides full training and ongoing support, with opportunities to gain classroom experience while contributing to student success and safeguarding a positive learning

Contract : Permanent - Term-Time plus 5 days INSET

Hours: 32.5 - 35 hours per week

Pay Grade: H5

Actual Salary: From £21, 700 per annum

Robert Barclay Academy is seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and adaptable individual to join our team as a Lead Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the day-to-day learning of our students and gain valuable experience within a vibrant and dedicated school community.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
• Support student learning within a specific department
• Assist with departmental administration tasks

While previous experience in a school setting is desirable, it is not essential — full training and ongoing support will be provided to the successful candidate.

This position is also ideal for anyone considering a future in teaching. Many of our former Cover Supervisors have gone on to complete teacher training and now work in permanent teaching roles — a testament to the strong support and development opportunities we offer.
