This is a rewarding and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about helping students re-engage with learning. The successful candidate will supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning and promoting positive behaviour.

About the School

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Build positive relationships with students, promoting engagement and progress.
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs by using de-escalation and trauma-informed strategies.

  • Able to build rapport with young people, especially those with additional needs.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with strong behaviour management skills.
  • An excellent communicator and positive role model.
  • Able to follow classroom plans and school procedures effectively.
  • Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
  • Experience in SEMH or alternative education settings is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.
  • Ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers or individuals with youth work or pastoral experience.
What We Offer

  • Professional development opportunities and career progression.
