About the School

Located on the outskirts of the rural market town of Newent; about 10 miles north‑west of Gloucester city, Newent Community School and Sixth Form Centre is an 11‑18 comprehensive academy with c. 1050 students currently on roll.

Role Overview

Newent Community School and Sixth Form Centre is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor with a proven track record.

Responsibilities
  • Share and model the school’s vision and values in everyday work and practice.
  • Develop and support specific areas to ensure high expectations and secure further school‑wide improvements.
  • Assist in fostering an inclusive learning environment and the holistic development of all students.
  • Maintain the school’s culture of care and vigilance, ensuring every student achieves their full potential.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven track record as a cover supervisor, or relevant experience.
  • For new professionals, a fully structured support programme will be provided during the induction period.
  • Excellent internal and external CPD provision with access to experienced mentorship.
