We are looking to appoint confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join a vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is considering a career in education.

Role Overview

Cover Supervisors play a vital role in a school by supervising lessons during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will be expected to deliver pre-prepared work to classes and maintain a positive learning environment. This position starts in September 2025.

Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise students in the classroom during the absence of the regular teacher.
  2. Ensure students remain on task with the work set by the teacher.
  3. Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
  4. Respond to questions from students and provide support where necessary.
  5. Ensure the classroom is left tidy at the end of the lesson.
Essential Skills and Qualities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Confidence and presence in front of a class.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work.
Desirable Experience:

Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable but not essential.
