Job summary

An education staffing agency in the UK is seeking a Cover Supervisor to manage classes in a Secondary School in Ealing. The role involves supervising cover work, ensuring students have necessary resources, and maintaining classroom behavior. Ideal candidates will have experience in schools and a Bachelor's degree. An up-to-date DBS is also required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a school environment is preferred.
  • An up-to-date DBS is required, ideally registered with the update service.
  • Two teaching-related references from the last two employers.

Cover Supervisor

TimePlan Education are working with a Secondary School in Ealing who are looking to secure a pool of regular supply Cover Supervisors to start in November 2025 to cover any short‑term sickness/absences.

The role of a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervising the cover work set by the absent teacher
  • Ensuring the children have the required resources and knowledge to complete the work set by the teacher
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils during the lesson to ensure all work is completed to a high standard
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies
  • Collecting completed work after lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher/department
Qualifications
  • Experience of working within a school setting (ideally Secondary)
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Equivalent (desired)
  • An up‑to‑date DBS, ideally registered with the update service
  • Two teaching‑related references from the last two employers
