The Role - Main Duties
  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
  • Deliver pre-set work and ensure lessons run smoothly and productively
  • Apply the school's behaviour policy consistently and effectively
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups where appropriate
  • Liaise with teaching and support staff regarding student progress and behaviour
  • Complete daily administrative tasks, including attendance and incident reporting
  • Take part in ongoing professional development and training
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
  • Has experience working in a school or educational environment (desirable)
  • Confident communicator with strong classroom presence
  • Able to adapt quickly across a range of subjects and year groups
  • Familiar with behaviour management strategies
  • Able to provide two satisfactory references
  • Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
