The role of Cover Supervisor doesn't include planning or preparation and no subject knowledge is necessary. However, strong communication and classroom management are vital. TeacherActive provide free in‑house CPD training for the position with training tips and tricks to support your professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Be confident in your ability to manage a class of students within the age range of 11 to 16.
  • Cover a variety of different subjects and be adaptable.
  • Manage behaviour in the classroom to ensure students remain engaged.
  • Be flexible to work throughout the school within different departments and with different age ranges daily.
