Job summary

A facilities management company is seeking a Cover Mobile Maintenance Engineer to manage planned and reactive maintenance across various sites in London. The role requires essential qualifications such as City & Guilds Level III in Electrical or Mechanical discipline, with a salary of up to £45,000. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems, and the ability to supervise subcontractors effectively.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in Electrical discipline or Mechanical discipline.
  • Completed 18th Edition I.E.E (essential).
  • Knowledge of ACOP L8 for water treatment tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
  • Complete HVAC related tasks including BMS monitoring and emergency lighting repairs.
  • Liaise with subcontractors during supervision.

Skills

Qualified to City & Guilds Level III or equivalent in Electrical discipline
Completed 18th Edition I.E.E
Good knowledge of Electricity at Work safe working practices
Experience of maintenance and fault finding on various equipment

Cover Mobile Maintenance Engineer

Location: London

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Salary: Upto £45,000

Position Overview

As the CoverFoot Mobile Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of sites in London, ensuring to all building plant, equipment, and systems are maintained in a safe, efficient, and functional order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete building services tasks, including knowledge and user management of the following: BMS monitoring/management, emergency lighting repairs, fire alarm systems, pumps, FCUs (service and repairs), AHUs, and all other HVAC plant
  • Take ownership of remedials, quoted works and small projects works when required
  • Water Treatment – to have knowledge and understanding of ACOP L8 and carry out water treatment tasks
  • Ensure all reactive repairs are undertaken safely and within appropriate time scalesRaising any hazards that arise on sites from reporting to rectification
  • Support with investigation and rectification of any technical faults
  • Liaise and support in the supervision of our sub-contractors
Skills & Experiences
  • Qualified to City & Guilds Level III or equivalent in Electrical discipline OR City & Guilds Level III or equivalent in Mechanical discipline
  • Completed 18th Edition I.E.E (essential) or mechanical equivalent
  • Completed City & Guilds BS 2391 Level 3 Electrical Inspection & Testing (desirable) or mechanical equivalent
  • IOSH Working Safely (desirable)
  • PASMA and IPAF 1b/3a/3b (desirable)
  • Good knowledge and clear understanding of Electricity at Work safe working practises and Memorandum of Guidance on the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (essential) or mechanical equivalent
  • Completed unvented hot water systems training (desirable)
  • Knowledge of and experience in BMS / Generator / Controls / Lighting Systems / Plumping / Sanitary Wear / Drainage Systems / Low Pressure Hot Water Systems / Pressurisation Systems / Ventilation Systems / ACOPS L8 and Cooling Tower Systems (desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience combined with valid Certificate on High Voltage systems (desirable)
  • Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment Including: - boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, - Batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable)
