Job summary

The Willink School is seeking a Cover Manager to line manage Cover Supervisors and organise the daily cover system for the whole school, including supply teachers. The role also oversees classes aged 11-16 when teachers are absent and may include small group intervention.

The post offers term-time hours (37 per week) with a full-time salary scale (£29,070–£33,119) and pro rata figures. Closing date is Thursday 17 September 2026; DBS checks apply and safeguarding is emphasised.

Job description

We require a Cover Manager to line manage other Cover Supervisors. The role will involve organising the daily cover system for the whole school, including organisation of supply teachers.

The role will also include overseeing classes of students aged 11-16 for which work has been set during the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that the class is well managed and students work productively. Other duties may include small group intervention.

• 37 hours per week, term time only, plus 5 training days
• Salary scale F: full time salary £29,070 - £33,119(pro rata £24,641 - £28,073)
