Job summary

Ministry of Justice seeks trainee legal advisers to support magistrates and courts across England and Wales. You’ll work at pace, researching issues of law and practice, and providing impartial, professional advice to judges.

During a two-year training period you’ll be mentored to become solicitor, Barrister or CILEX. You’ll participate in case management hearings, draft reasons and liaise with external agencies, developing your legal career within HMCTS.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking with sound judgment.
• Ability to think on your feet in busy court environments.

Responsibilities

• Keep the courts running smoothly and efficiently.
