Our esteemed client in Southampton is currently seeking a Court of Protection Associate with 2+ years of experience to join their team. This role presents an opportunity to operate within a supportive and inclusive environment, effecting meaningful change in the lives of vulnerable individuals. You will be overseeing a caseload comprising Court of Protection matters, encompassing deputyship applications, statutory will applications, and related issues. Additionally, you will provide counsel on capacity matters and mental capacity assessments, deliver support and guidance to clients and their families, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and stay updated on legal developments and best practices in Court of Protection law.

The ideal candidate will be an admitted Solicitor at the associate/senior associate level with 2-8 years of experience in Court of Protection law, possess a robust comprehension of the Mental Capacity Act and pertinent case law, exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, demonstrate proficiency in showing empathy and understanding in interactions with vulnerable clients, and show dedication to advancing diversity, inclusivity, and equality within the legal sphere.
