Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking a Solicitor with 2–4 years’ PQE to join a growing Court of Protection and Private Client team in Manchester. You will handle Property and Affairs Court of Protection matters, deputyships and trusts, and work closely with vulnerable clients and families while developing your own caseload under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of PQE as a Solicitor or Legal Executive.
• Experience dealing with Court of Protection Property and Affairs matters.
• Experience managing or assisting with Deputyship and/or trust matters.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Court of Protection procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assisting a Deputy with the management of a national caseload of high-value Property and Affairs deputyships and trust matters.
• Working with vulnerable children and adults, as well as their families and professional representatives.
• Managing a caseload of smaller Court of Protection matters and developing your own caseload over time.
• Dealing with clients and their families professionally and sensitively, including out-of-office client visits where required.
• Advising on and progressing Property and Affairs Court of Protection matters.
• Supporting the wider team with complex and high-value cases.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues in Clinical Negligence and Private Client.
• Assisting with the development and growth of the Court of Protection team.
• Contributing to business development and marketing activities where appropriate.
• Maintaining high standards of client care, file management and compliance.
