Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking an inspiring and experienced Course Leader for Construction Professional Studies to lead and develop our Construction Higher Technical Qualifications programmes at L4. This is a unique opportunity to join the Stephen Burke Construction Academy, which has cutting‑edge facilities and substantial investment in new technologies, set within a supportive environment that values collaboration and partnerships. As Course Leader, you will lead the delivery, coordination, and ongoing development of the HNC Construction Management course, ensuring students gain the technical and professional skills needed in the modern construction industry. You will also teach modules and provide academic leadership. A friendly, effective communicator, you’ll be committed to delivering an excellent student experience and drawing on your industry experience to enrich your teaching.
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Construction and be confident teaching undergraduate students at Levels 4. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to develop their academic career in a small and friendly environment, whilst utilising their vocational skills background to enrich the student experience. The successful candidate will have industry experience and a proven record in inspirational teaching at HE level and have a demonstrable commitment to teaching and learning excellence.
Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
