Job description

GR Employment Ltd are looking for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our customers in St Austell, PL26 8LG, the correct candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from the customers.

The Courier role is key to ensuring that the company principles and ethos are demonstrated at all times, ensuring that the service provided to customers is delivered with speed, passion and a can‑do attitude. You will be expected to achieve excellent customer service, which requires flexibility and the ability to work under pressure.

The working shift is Tuesday to Saturday, 08:00 start. This position is to provide relief cover for the couriers. This is a temporary placement, however, for the right candidate, this position could become permanent. You will be covering the Penzance, Plymouth and north Devon area.

Job Responsibilities

As a courier driver, you will be measured by customer satisfaction and the complete delivery of definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative for the company, you will be required to complete all tasks in a customer‑focused manner. You will be required to demonstrate excellent planning and organisation skills to prioritise work in order to meet customers’ requirements. You will work on an assigned geographical route; however, you may be asked to change your route from time to time to meet business needs.

Scanning and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met, excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to make good decisions and work under pressure.

Job Qualifications

• Full UK driving license
• For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years old and have no more than 9 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 3 years
• Experience in a multi-drop courier role
• 2 days of training will be given, one with the driver and one for the health and safety driving assessment
