Overview

G R Employment Ltd are recruiting for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our customers based in Portsmouth, the Dunsbury Park area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers. This Courier Driver role is key to ensuring that the company’s principles and ethos are demonstrated at all times, providing a service delivered with speed, passion, and a can‑do attitude.

You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service, showing flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday, with a starting time at 8:30 AM

Hourly Rate

£13.00 per hour (overtime £19.50 per hour)

Job Responsibilities

• Measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time‑definite deliveries and collections.
• Carried out all tasks with a strong customer‑focused approach as a frontline representative.
• Required to do collections.
• Demonstrated excellent planning and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations.
• Flexibility to cover alternative routes as needed to support business needs.
• Responsible for scanning shipments and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met.
• Ability to make sound decisions and perform effectively under pressure.

Job Qualifications

• Full UK driving license.
• Preferred experience in a multi‑drop courier role.
• At least 21 years old with no more than 9 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 3 years.
