Job summary

An NHS Trust in Cornwall is seeking an individual to provide supervision and administrative support to the Courier Manager. The role involves overseeing a team of drivers delivering essential services to over 200 sites. The ideal candidate will contribute to the efficient operation of the team and ensure service users' needs are met. This position is open only to current employees of NHS organizations in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.

Responsibilities

To provide effective supervision and efficient administrative support to the Courier Manager and Team. Supporting a team of 14 drivers working across the length and breadth of Cornwall delivering/collecting samples/specimens, blood, pharmacy, patient notes, equipment etc to over 200 sites, ensuring a good relationship with service users. General office duties, completion of weekly driver rotas, pay and leave utilisation online system, dealing with service users to ensure needs are met, booking vehicles for repair with occasional driving. Planning training for drivers both routes and mandatory, supervising drivers.
