National Trust is seeking a dynamic Countryside Manager to lead transformational changes for nature across Felbrigg Hall, Oxburgh Estate, and Peckover House & Gardens.   • Travel across the Property Group; vehicle provided

Summary

We’re looking for a dynamic forward-thinking Countryside Manager to lead transformational changes for nature across the newly formed Property Group, which comprises Felbrigg Hall, Oxburgh Estate, and Peckover House & Gardens.

With your extensive knowledge of countryside management, habitat restoration and partnership work you’ll lead a team of Rangers, and work with our specialist internal delivery teams to develop and deliver real uplift for nature.

Salary: £36,621 - £48,867 depending on knowledge, skills and experience.

Working with the portfolio General Manager as part of the portfolio senior leadership team, you'll be part of an ambitious, collaborative and creative team that’s focused on making a difference to the communities we serve.

What you'll be doing

You’ll lead your teams in the day-to-day management of sites alongside strategic thinking to improving access opportunities and deliver nature conservation projects.

You’ll seek out and build effective and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and partners; such as farm tenants, statuary bodies and other NGOs to deliver more on and off NT land.

You will be working alongside regional and national nature delivery colleagues to develop the most ambitious and deliverable plan locally to progress national ambitions. Including delivery of the “Wilder Felbrigg” project an ambitious plan to create new habitats across the estate.

You’ll lead for delivering exceptional service and a program of nature engagement with our visitors outdoors.

You’ll lead a team of 7 Rangers, with direct line management of 2 lead Ranger, and team of volunteers. You’ll help secure funding from a mix of public and private sources to support high-quality nature outcomes.

This role is portfolio wide and will require travel across the Property Group. A vehicle is available for travel between sites.

Some duty management, weekend and bank holiday working are required.
