Job Advert in Colchester is seeking a Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance Forklift) to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role includes goods in, packaging coordination, stock control and forklift operations with 4 on/4 off shifts.

Candidates must have a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence and experience in warehouse settings. Excellent organisational, written and verbal skills are required to manage workload and assist various warehouse activities.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, goods in or packaging environment.
• Knowledge of logistics, distribution and supply chain.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
• Proactive approach with initiative.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance forklift as part of the warehouse team.
• Receive deliveries of packaging materials and complete intake checks.
• Check deliveries against paperwork and record stock accurately.
• Manage and organise packaging stores and storage areas.
• Maintain stock levels of packaging materials (boxes, labels, films, pallets).
• Carry out regular stock checks (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Ensure packaging is labelled, identifiable and stored correctly.
• Maintain stock rotation procedures and supply packaging to production areas.
