Counterbalance Forklift Driver - Barrow-in-Furness

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rotation

Pay Rate: £14.65/hour + Overtime at £25.64/hour

Contract Type: Ongoing, Full-Time Assignment

We are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a well-established distribution team in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for long‑term, stable work with excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a counterbalance forklift truck
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures
  • Palletising goods and preparing shipments
  • Completing relevant paperwork accurately
  • Undertake training as required
  • Carry out daily equipment checks and report any issues
  • Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
  • Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (not in house)
  • Referenceable experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work both day and night shifts on a rotating basis
Shift Details
  • 4 on / 4 off rotation
    • 2 x 12‑hour day shifts (6am - 6pm)
    • 2 x 12‑hour night shifts (6pm - 6am)
    • 4 days off
  • After 7 weeks on shift, enjoy 18 days off
