Job summary

Randstad Inhouse Services is seeking a Counterbalance Forklift Driver (FLT) for a Grays, West Thurrock site on a long-term assignment. The role operates on a 4-crew shift pattern (days 06:00–18:00, nights 18:00–06:00) with pay rate £17.34 per hour, inclusive of shift allowance.

The successful candidate will move loaded pallets through the warehouse, operate the wrapper, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards while following site procedures. Weekly pay and onsite facilities are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
• Must hold an in-date, accredited license (RTITB, ITSSAR, or AITT).
• Ability to commit to the long-term, 4-crew shift pattern.
• Possess basic computing skills and follow operational instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, energetic, and results-driven attitude.

Responsibilities

• Move loaded pallets from palletization to wrapper, wrapper to floor spots, and floor spots to conveyor infeed.
• Move empty pallets safely from rack to floor.
• Operate the wrapper machine as required.
• Maintain high standards of safety and area cleanliness.
• Ensure accurate pallet placement in designated floor spots.
• Be aware of pedestrian activity and stay vigilant in shared spaces.
